HRS Folding Bike 16 Inch Urban Commuter

always wanted the "B" bike but I can't justify the price.

got this one on sale and I'm very happy with it.

i noticed some cons though.

1. when folded, the rear tyre is touching the frame that it'll cause scratches and dirt. i checked their promo pictures and it shows that there's a gap there. I'm not sure why my bike is different.

2. when folded, the bike tends to fall. i hope the rollers are wider or can be extended to prevent this.

3. the clamp already chipped the paint off even though I'm very careful with it. i hope there's a foam or something to prevent this.

4. on the pedal, i hope they put a cover to prevent dirt to get easily inside the bearings.

overall I'm happy.

This is an ideal cheaper alternative to the much dearer B tri fold. Having previously owned an orginal B, the HRS shared almost identical traits. Similar ride quality and folding mechanism.

The downside of the HRS is the short aluminum seatpost, too short for anyone taller than 178cm in height. I replaced mine with an orginal B telescopic steel seatpost. Although the innova tires looks good on the racing green frame, I replaced it with Marathon plus for better puncture protection.

Overall the HRS cost about 45% of the orginal B. If you want a B but cant afford one, this is a good alternative.

For some time I had been folding bike curious. I have had many bikes and wanted quality but the pricing of the best folder was prohibitive to me but understood the old premise of you get what you pay for.
And then on social media I came across RockBros and their tri-folder. Online images can be deceiving so I had to head out to their showroom/warehouse to see for myself.
Straight away I was a bit stunned.
Ok, great paint job. Then looking at the welds was pleasantly surprised.
Out of the box there’s not much to do other than learn the art of fold/unfold. After a few days of riding it I’m learning the nuances to make fold/unfold easier.
Ridden it from home to work and back now a few times. Be prepared for the looks. When you stop at lights people look quizzically at the bike. Wasn’t prepared for how small wheels accelerate so much faster from a standing start. Have ridden all kinds of bikes and am surprised how comfortable a ride yet rigid the bike is.
Today I bought a front-compatible bag and tonight wheeled my folded bike into my local supermarket; the simplicity of folding your bike up whilst having your bag open to load up was so nice but took me ages to shop as I had four people stop me to ask about the rig (great problem to have).
The negatives?
That’s tough. Time will tell but my jaw dropped when the guy (who was so helpful and obviously loves his job) told me the frame had a 5 year warranty.
There’s a few small additions/mods I have already made (which cost nothing):
Toed in brake pads to stop squealing.
Tightened Seatpost clamp.
Adjusted rear derailleur to sync to gear cluster.
This bike is a steal at three figures.
I think there is a place for a higher spec premium/model that includes: higher/non-radial spoke front wheel.
Better handlebar grips.
Flexi/comfy saddle.
In a world where high class folders have been around for decades It’s hard to describe how groundbreaking this bike is. It’s ALOT of bike for sub $1k.

This is a quality bike, well built, strong and very comfortable to ride - its actually more comfortable to ride around town than my expensive Focus mountain bike!
Had some dealings with Rock Bros Customer Service which was excellent, they are fantastic to deal with.
Will be ordering a second bike for my wife as soon as their next delivery arrives - thanks Rock Bros.
