I’ve been using the ROCKBROS Photochromic Cycling Glasses with UV400 protection and TR90 frame for a mix of road rides, longer endurance sessions, and a bit of running, and they’ve held up really well overall.
The photochromic lenses are the standout feature. They adjust quickly as light changes, which makes a big difference when riding through shade, tree cover, or moving between early morning and brighter conditions. I didn’t feel the need to stop and swap lenses, which keeps things simple on longer rides.
The UV400 protection gives confidence in full sun, and glare reduction is solid without making everything overly dark. Visibility stays clear enough even when conditions shift, which is what you want for training where you’re not thinking about your glasses constantly.
The TR90 frame is lightweight and flexible but still feels durable. They sit comfortably without bouncing, even over rougher sections, and they don’t pinch behind the ears during longer sessions. They’re easy to forget you’re wearing, which is ideal.
Fit-wise, they suit cycling well, staying stable in aero and upright positions. For running, they’re also secure enough, though they feel more purpose-built for the bike.
If there’s a downside, it’s that photochromic lenses don’t always transition instantly in very rapid light changes, and in very low light they can still feel slightly tinted. But for the price point and intended use, that’s pretty minor.
Overall, they’re a reliable, no-fuss pair of cycling glasses that do exactly what they’re meant to do: protect your eyes, adapt to changing light, and stay comfortable on long rides.
